A new beginning, that’s what a New Year brings us. An opportunity to look at our past year and see the good, the bad, the blessings, the triumphs and the failures. An opportunity for hope for a better tomorrow! God provides a restart each year. We call it New Years!
With the new year, our circumstances may not have changed, we may have the same challenges as we faced over the past months with finances and storms and relationships. What can change is our heart and our attitudes. Much of life is beyond our control such as the storms that have hit our country this past year and the turmoil in the middle east, and a new president. But what I can change is my heart and my attitudes towards my life.
I don’t know all that you faced in 2016 or will face in 2017 but I know that God is able to do far more than I can ever imagine or hope for. I am challenged with the thought; “What will I do differently in 2017 so my life will be filled with more power, more love and more self-discipline.
Paul wrote to Timothy “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
